- Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 3 - 4 years hands on experience in a similar role with at least 2 years handling imports.
- Experience in handling imports documents and clearance procedures.
- Knowledge on electrical/mechanical components would be an added advantage.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills in both English & Sinhala.
- Proficient in procurement ERP Systems(SAP) and MS Office, with strong analytical and problem-
solving skills. - Be an excellent team player with positive attitudes.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Be flexible and able to adapt and deal with difficult situation.
- Skilled ensuring timely deliveries, optimizing costs, and attention to detail, and sound decision
making. - Ability to demonstrate integrity.
- Sourcing and Purchasing of materials/ equipment from local as well as overseas suppliers.
- Negotiate with vendors and evaluate vendors quarterly.
- Follow up and facilitate logistic arrangements.
- Raising purchase orders, maintaining internal documents & filing them in a logical order.
- Maintaining vendor information.
- Handling of stocks, inventories & issuance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
