Civil Engineer / Assistant Engineer - Civil
Description
We are a well-established company engaged in Mini Hydro Power projects in Sri Lanka. We invite applications from suitable candidates for the above position existing at our company.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with plant engineers on civil engineering related tasks and provide technical support.
- Visit all plants regularly, inspect site and structural conditions, and report findings.
- Determine suitable construction methods, materials, and quality standards; prepare and interpret specifications, drawings, plans, and procedures.
- Manage site construction activities with civil supervisors and operational staff to ensure compliance with standards.
- Prepare proposals and designs for new project implementations and modifications to existing facilities.
Qualifications
- Should be qualified with B.Sc. Civil Engineering with 1 year experience or HNDE, NDES, NDT with 3 - 5 years' experience in the construction industry.
- Associate membership of IESL (Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka).
- Proficiency in civil engineering software.
- Design and evaluate all civil structure and able to find solutions for issues in civil constructions, evaluate BOQs.
- Ability to involve with other engineering disciplines like electrical and mechanical.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Report writing skills
- Sound knowledge on MS Office Package.
- Strong people management skills and interpersonal skills.
- Well-groomed and pleasing personality with positive attitude.
- Should be willing to travel and be based out of Colombo.
